Jamie Rickers’ TV career strarted out from humble beginnings with the classic and inspiring tale of ‘tea-room to the TV studio’!  Fresh from university with a BA Honors Music & Drama degree, with his sights set firmly on the Entertainment industry, Jamie landed his first job making the ‘brews’ at LWT which eventually paved the way to his first proper job in broadcasting working as a programme runner for LWT. Determined and on the career ladder, Jamie went on to work as researcher and Celebrity Booker on ‘Michael Barrymore’s My Kind of Music’, ‘Kids Say the Funniest Things’, ‘Audience with The Bee Gees’ and ‘Audience with The Spice Girls’.  

Continuing to work on shows such as ‘Andi Meets Britney’, the CiTV awards and ‘The Richard Blackwood Show’, Jamie finally got his break in 2000 when he joined GMTV in 2000 and produced and presented the popular weekend kids’ show ‘Up On The Roof’ for 5 years.
